We traveled to 22 countries on 5 continents in 292 days on our RTW trip and these were the cheapest destinations we visited!
Before we took off on our RTW trip, it was super important for us to plan roughly how much we were willing and able to spend. We didn’t want to get stuck halfway around the world and only halfway through our destinations only to find out that we didn’t even have enough money to buy a plane ticket back home! So we created a thorough budget that would help guide us financially through our trip. **Cue RTW Budget** To better understand our RTW Budget, it would probably help to understand…
Planning a Round the World Trip is kind of one big numbers game. ‘How much money can I afford to spend?…How cheaply can I get from A to B?…How many cities can I fit in X amount of time?’ And the questions we get about our RTW trip revolve around numbers a lot too. ‘How many days were you gone?…How much money did you take with you?…What was the cheapest country?’ Luckily for the people asking the questions, we are numbers people 🙂 We kept track of all the money…
We were recently invited to do a guest appearance on the show Rise Above with Joe and Heidi. We had a great time talking about our trip around the world including topics like how we prepared for the trip, how we saved money, how we came closer as a couple, things we fought about, and some of our most memorable experiences. Check out the video to hear all about it. If you have any questions about planning a Round the World trip, leave us a comment!
I like to think that if I'm prepared and well-packed for my trip, it will be a lot easier and convenient. Nothing is worse than realizing you forgot to pack socks, a jacket, deodorant, toothbrush, etc. This is quite inconvenient and maybe even costly if it's something you already own but forgot to bring. That's why I L O V E packing lists! If it's comprehensive, and you follow it to a T, you shouldn't leave anything that you need behind.Â
